Best wishes for 2017 from the entire staff of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School.
We would like to thank you for all your support in 2016 for making SKT the amazing school that it is and we look forward to a wonderful year ahead.
While we all love winter and all the extra-curricular activities it brings, we must ensure that we arrive at school with the appropriate clothing it requires. Students will be taken out for recess every day unless the weather is colder than –25ºC including the wind chill. Students of all ages should be wearing their winter jackets and snowpants, as well as boots, mitts, and hats.
Me to We Advent Project 2016
Our Me to We Team would like to thank the SKT Community for supporting our two fundraisers in December, the Gloucester Emergency Food Cupboard and the Ottawa Snowsuit Fund. It was tremendously successful!
Full Day Immersion Kindergarten registration for 4-year-olds will be held from January 16th to 20th, 10-12am and 1-3pm. The following criteria must be met for registration:
· your child must be four-years-old on or before December 31, 2017
· Original documents including his/her Baptismal certificate, Birth Certificate, proof of address and Record of Immunization must be provided and copies will be made for our records. You may complete the many forms here during the week of registration, or they may be taken home and returned to the school at your earliest convenience. The forms are also available on the school board website to download and complete prior to your visit. A formal Full Day Kindergarten information night will also be held in late May or June. An invitation will be sent to you once the date is confirmed.
Kindergarten Information Session, January 18, 2017 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Nepean Sportsplex (1701 Woodroffe Ave. Halls A & B).
Our January Gathering will be held on Monday, January 16th and we will be celebrating the Gospel values of Justice and Community.
Just a reminder that when your child is absent (even on a snow day), please call the school to let us know. As part of our Safe Schools policy, we must contact the parent of each child who is absent if we have not been notified of his/her absence. As you can imagine—-a quick call into the school would save a lot of time in the morning. You can call 613-830-2454 any time of the day or night and leave a message. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
