The Lenten season is upon us. Tuesday, February 28th our Catholic School Council prepared pancakes for the entire school which was a wonderful display of our awesome SKT community. Wednesday, March 1st we gathered for our Ash Wednesday liturgy and now we set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ - his suffering and his sacrifice, his life, death, burial and resurrection.
Our Lenten Project this year is to support a school in Kenya. Our ‘We Team’ is busy organizing the fundraising and a representative from the school will be at SKT during our next gathering to share details of the project.
Our March Gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 8th and we will be celebrating the Gospel value of Love.
Parents are reminded of our parking lot expectations at the end of the day. Please refrain from stopping, parking or idling your vehicle in the laneway of the parking lot. This is for the safety of our students and to ease congestion.
It’s that time of year where we begin planning for next year. Anyone who is not planning on returning to SKT next year or not planning to attend St. Matthew’s next year please let the office know.
A reminder to parents of Kindergarten students who ride the bus that a parent or guardian must meet your child at the bus stop. If no parent or guardian is present OSTA’s policy is to return the student to the school and if no staff are available the drivers are informed to take students to the nearest police station.
Special Education and Your Child: Workshops for Parents of Children with Special Needs

The 4 workshops will be offered twice. Participants will be able to attend two sessions of their choice

Learn tips to help you positively advocate for your child with special needs during education setting meetings. There will be an opportunity for parents to make suggestions as to how OCSB school staff can help support their concerns.
