Proposed Option Area for Chapel Hill and St. Kateri Tekakwitha Elementary Schools
New residential development in the St. Kateri Tekakwitha attendance area has led to increased enrolments and the need for a high number of portable classrooms. To address this growth, the OCSB planning staff propose updating the attendance boundary to allow some students the option to attend either St. Kateri Tekakwitha or Chapel Hill Schools. This change also aims to help the school manage accommodation pressures on-site ahead of future school openings in developing communities. Families affected by this change can provide feedback until January 15, 2025.
As part of the public consultation for the proposed Chapel Hill School and St. Kateri Tekakwitha School Option Area, we held a Parent Information Session on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. This open house allowed parents the opportunity to review the proposal and speak directly with staff to address any questions or concerns.

Parents can also provide their feedback by completing this Google Form by January 15, 2025. After the consultation period, a final recommendation will be submitted to the Board of Trustees on January 27, 2025.
